IIS 7 not serving static pages and images

If the handlers for static files are not configured, you would receive blank static pages. In the case of using nService, you would not see the icons on the header.

To fix the problem, first go to control panel to make sure the handlers are installed.
static file handler

Then go to IIS Manager, Handler mappings. Make sure it looks like this:
